RICE WATER


Rice is a grain from seed of grass. It botanical names are Oryza sativa (Asian rice) or Oryza glaberrima (African rice). It is a consumable grain that is eaten by a large part of the world's human population, especially in Asia and maybe Nigeria. It is the agricultural commodity with the third-highest worldwide production.

Rice is one of the most popular food found in every home in Nigeria, as children and adults alike love to eat it. Favourite meal to so many. Most Nigeria parties are incomplete without our famous party jellof and fried rice on the menu.


Rice water to a regular person or mom who cooks rice is of no use and importance. Its thrown away or washed down their kitchen sink and that is, but to a beautician and a skin care therapist it more than just food, but a secret ingredient for a flawless skin.

Rice water is said to be a really effective skin care ingredient for:
Cleansing
Toning
Pores reduction
Firming and tighten of skin

Rice water is useful for all skin types, either normal, oily or dry skin. It is a natural, easy and extremely cheap way to having a flawless and beautiful skin.

To make your own rice water right in the comfort of your kitchen. You need;
1 cup of raw rice( your normal uncooked rice)
4 cups of water

Note: You can make more or less depend on the quantity you want.

There are two simple methods of making rice water.

Method A
This method requires no form of heat.
1. Rinse your rice with water.
2. Put the rinsed rice in a clean bowl.
3. Pour the 4 cups of water and cover.
4. Set aside for 24 hours.
5. Strain the rice to separate the water from the rice and your rice water is ready for use.

Method B
This method requires heat to make it of quality highly nutrient.
1. Put your rice in a pot.
2. Add water.
3. Place on fire.
4. Allow to boil just like you parboil rice while cooking.
5. Strain the water.
6. Let it cool of and its ready for use.
